Meet Winnie, Hannah’s new kitty. Since Snape passe Meet Winnie, Hannah’s new kitty. Since Snape passed away last summer, she has been longing for a kitty to love. Winnie was adopted from the local shelter. She moved to Hannah’s cottage on our property last week, so there likely won't be many interactions with our pups. At 5 months old, there's lots of kitten in her and I get to go over every day for some purrs. ❤️ She's just beautiful.
Winter is not done with us yet. Just as the pile u Winter is not done with us yet. Just as the pile up of snow in the yard melts away, and I can see my garden beds and begin to dream, another few inches of snow arrived. On the plus side, the snow hides the yard debris-things that weren’t properly tucked away last fall. Leaves gone unraked. Trimmings not composted. Time will come for that, but for now I’m going to enjoy my coffee and the birds from the comfort of my cozy sofa.

Hannah stood by, ready to fish me out if the pond ice didn’t hold me. 😂 Success! I like having a few cattails in the pond, but I don’t want them to take over. I pulled a number of them out by the roots in the fall, but I feel this will be an ongoing maintenance battle.

It seemed like the easiest thing to do this morning to fill the bird feeders was to take the direct route through the living room window rather than wading through the snow around the house.
