The weather app reported cloudy all day. By mid-day, the sun was shining on one side of the house while cloudy on the other, so we took our chances and headed to the beach. We parked our chairs and were rewarded with a quick 20 minutes of sunshine before the clouds drifted back in. In shorts and sweatshirts, we spent over two hours walking, talking, and watching the tide roll out. We covered Covid-19, politics, civil unrest, books, school, dream homes, and everything in between. All the while, I heard a sweet bird song coming from the beach rose behind us. Curious, I followed it and spotted this cheery Yellow Warbler, a first for me.
