Despite COVID-19 the WHRL’s Christmas Tree Festival is a go for the first weekend in December. It has to look different this year. We’ll be open for viewing of trees and wreaths over a more extended period with limited admission at any given time. All of the bidding will happen online.

So that decision made, it was time go venture into the woods and dig up and pot our miniature Christmas trees.

It was a glorious day for an outing to the old Willey Tree Farm, who gave us cart Blanche to harvest our trees.

Maeve and Zabet accompanied me on the adventure.

I asked Paul if he wanted to come along to help; he handed over his truck keys. We filled her up, brought them back to town, and potted all of the trees.

I’m not feeling a lot of inspiration this year. Hannah has a spectacular Dory and Friends tree in the works, but I’m struggling to come up with something new. If you’re in the area and want to adopt a tree to decorate, sign up here!
