Yesterday was a momentous day. We moved Hannah into her first apartment. It’s a lovely little one-bedroom situated over a barn just 2.25 miles away.

Finding rents Downeast is a challenge. Good rentals are far and few between. In this instance, a friend of a friend came through with this sweet place set back a bit from the river. This image is the view from the drive.

It’s got lots of windows and glorious light, views of the outdoors, and delightful landlords. The kitchen, living and dining area are one big room.

To say that she’s happy to be “adulting” again in her own place is an understatement.

The kitchen doesn’t have any light fixtures, so we’re brainstorming that oddity.

Tougher than letting Hannah go was letting her take Snape with her (aka Boo Bear). One of two family cats, she really is his human, so it made sense for her to make a home with him. He was not impressed and would not venture out of the bedroom unless he was in Hannah’s arms.

A deck gives a great spot to battle the black flies and skeeters this summer.

It’s a beautiful little spot for Hannah. I couldn’t be happier. Well, maybe if the rest of her things migrate over to the new place! I have designs on her room. 😉
