Holy moly, it’s been a race leading up to WHRL’s Winter Tree Festival. While I’ve shared some of what I’ve been working on, Hannah has invested her energy into two things. The first is a Whale in Sweaters wreath that is just darling.
However, it’s her Hogwarts Magical Tree and Custom-themed Monopoly game that has had us working down to the wire.
Inspired by the world of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, Hannah’s tree is sure to delight the young and old. A 30” artificial flocked tree brings to life elements of the Hogwarts world – handcrafted felt house banners (4), felt quidditch portrait, a felt chocolate frog, a felt Mandrake, a felt Monster Book of Monsters, 10 felt/wood broomsticks, 4 decoupaged ornaments featuring the Marauder’s Map, and five golden snitches cut from wood veneer. Hannah created all the felt ornaments; Susan pitched in with the wooden decorations.
The piece de resistance of this package is the one-of-a-kind Hogwarts-themed Monopoly Game. Each property takes you someplace in Hogwarts or on the grounds. Instead of Jail, you’ll be heading to Detention. No income tax here – you’ll have to deal with Peeves! You’ll collect the House Common Rooms rather than the Rail Roads. Game pieces include cauldron, book, owl, key, howler, snitch, and potion. Money or Galleons are issued from the Bank of Gringotts.
