For the first time in 15 months, I’m back on the road traveling again for work. It’s fun to be driving through rural Maine, audible story on the radio, camera by my side just in case. Yet today was a tight schedule, so there wasn’t time to admire the landscape or photograph that Bald Eagle I spotted.

The photo of the day came as I returned home and turned into my road. A flotilla of Canada Geese was working their way upstream.

There were some young ones and teenagers in the group.

They swam right into the marsh grass.

They all but disappearing as they nibbled on the tender grass. I counted 39 in all.

It was another scorcher today, but I sat and watched them from the side of the road until I longed for the air conditioning of my car.
