What a whirlwind the last few days have been since Hannah finished work for the summer.

Back-to-school shopping.

Every outing with her seems like an adventure.

We explored Cadillac Mountain – something we see from a distance on our end of the coast. Smoke from the wildfires out west has traveled the jet stream to leave an odd haze in the sky.

At the top of Cadillac, a path provides views of Frenchman Bay, Cranberry Isles, and the Atlantic Ocean.

The requisite mother-daughter selfie.

Experimenting with Hannah’s new camera lens on the rocks by Thunder Hole.

The view of Eagle Lake with the Blue Hill peninsula in the distance. I love the contrast between the green of the rocks and the darker green of the trees.

One of Hannah’s shots from the beach.

And finally, our last beach walk this afternoon. It sad to think that the next time we walk the beach together we’ll be bundled up and walking the waves in Muck boots.

The car is packed and we’re ready to roll at o’dark-thirty in the morning. She’ll be off for her sophomore year at Denison University!
