The Laughing Loon

The call or “laugh” of a loon is an eerie, soul touching sound. It’s a treat to see one of these birds on the water. I hope you enjoy making this felt loon for your Christmas tree.

  1. I was at the prim store today and they had white prim trees, I bet that would be nice with the birds in it.

I bet it would! I have a tiny artificial Christmas tree – maybe it’s called a feather tree? It’s not really made of feathers, but it would be perfect for a few birds, too.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing these patterns, Susan!

We are also in Maine, and my children and I love watching our backyard birds. I can’t wait to make these adorable little birds to decorate our schoolroom–lovely and educational!
