Little Thief

Little Thief

Every day the kitties take up their post at the dining room window where they have a great view of the porch and yard beyond. Today they became very anxious and alerted me to a little thief on the porch.

For more than a year I’ve kept my bird seed bucket on the porch so it would be close at hand for filling bird feeders. The temptation was finally too much for our resident squirrel. He was caught red handed.

Sorry, just saw this post. You’re lucky you didn’t attract a bear with that bird seed. I did, twice. One actually climbed up on my deck, 8 feet off the ground, and was about to pull down the feeder when I yelled at it and scared it away.

We haven’t had much trouble with bears at our house. Maybe it’s the dog? We’ve had neighbors with issues, though. Needless to say, I don’t keep seed on the porch anymore!
