I receive more suggestions for patterns to create than I will ever have time to design. This is a hobby for me and if there isn’t something about a bird or critter that I find appealing, designing feels like work rather than fun. This week I received a suggestion for a Fairy-wren. Having absolutely no clue about Fairy-wrens (as I don’t live in Australia!), I Googled them. Wrens are just plain cute, but photos of these birds were so endearing that I knew I wanted to make them (check out some pics here). To my friends in Australia, enjoy!

Thank you so much ! I live in Australia and these beautiful little birds are our backyard visitors all year . They do get pugnacious in the Spring and fight themselves in the house and car windows LOL
Gosh these are lovely, thank you. Always a welcome sight on our bushwalks but not in our urban yard as much any more.
