This day after Christmas, the temps soared close to 50 degrees outside – so beautiful that I felt guilty sitting inside reading. With the weather man predicting snow twice this coming week, it seemed imperative that I get outside and tackle some chores.
While I puttered in the garden and greenhouse finishing chores that should have been done weeks ago, it seems as if everyone at Downeast Thunder Farm enjoyed this last calm before winter.
Warm here in CT, too. We went over to Rhode Island today where it was just as warm! I guess we will all have cold weather soon enough but this has been enjoyable. I see that some cute little dog is growing up and looking beautiful! Happy new year to you and yours!

Hello Susan, we too have unseasonable weather.
I feel so sorry for all those folks who have been flooded out of their homes, and all the wildlife yet again been lost. I also feel that its the calm before the storm. Where I live here in Lincolnshire we are so lucky, our weather has match the same temperature as it was in the summer. We have had 12 ducklings that have all survived, all the hedgehogs have done well too.
I hope that you and your family have a very peaceful New Year. I really am looking forward to seeing Giget’s first gallivants in the coming snow, and all the felt lovelies to come.
