It’s been a while since Hannah and I have gone for a hike. Either I’ve been over-subscribed with work (actually a good thing!) or the weather has been crappy. Today, we took advantage of the glorious weather and hiked the Hollingsworth Trail at Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge. The trail is only about fifteen minutes from the house. It’s where we often go blueberrying in August.

Yesterday was so hot that our ice cream cones melted before we could finish them. This morning, as we set out on the hike at 9:30 a.m. it was 68 degrees with a breeze off the water.

The 1.5 mile round-trip hike skirting Pigeon Hill Bay took us two hours to complete. We clearly dawdled a bit along the way!
