Frosty Morning on the Machias River

This view of the Machias River in Whitneyville, Maine is responsible for me being late to work today. It was simply stunning. I all but stopped on the bridge to look at the view. I continued on, then I stopped and turned around and went back. I parked the car in the middle of the lane with the flashers on and left the car there to take pictures.

I’m sure folks had a few choice words for the nutty lady with the camera. It was worth it.

Glad you’re back online, Debbie. Anytime we lose our daily conveniences – power, internet, water, it makes me realize how lucky we really are – that’s it’s just a momentary interruption in life.
