Frosty Morning on the Machias River

This view of the Machias River in Whitneyville, Maine is responsible for me being late to work today. It was simply stunning. I all but stopped on the bridge to look at the view. I continued on, then I stopped and turned around and went back. I parked the car in the middle of the lane with the flashers on and left the car there to take pictures.

I’m sure folks had a few choice words for the nutty lady with the camera. It was worth it.

  1. Beautiful shots and I am glad to see you made it through the storm.
    We lost power friday night and then our vios box decided to die on saturday, so a long weekend. We finally got the power back yesterday and the replace our box today. We got around 2 feet here.

      Glad you’re back online, Debbie. Anytime we lose our daily conveniences – power, internet, water, it makes me realize how lucky we really are – that’s it’s just a momentary interruption in life.
